Terms & Conditions

Numbersaurus is operated by GOTOES LIMITED, registered in England, company no. 16658520. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Contact: hello@numbersaurus.com.

1. What Numbersaurus is

Numbersaurus is an online maths practice service for children of roughly ages 4 to 11. It plays like a game: it finds the skills a child is missing, teaches from there, and shows the grown-up what it found. It runs in a web browser; there is nothing to install.

Numbersaurus supports a child's maths learning. It is not a formal assessment and does not replace a teacher or an educational-needs professional.

2. Who can use it

Accounts are created and managed by an adult (18 or over) with parental responsibility for the children who play — we call them the grown-up. Children use Numbersaurus under their grown-up's supervision and through profiles the grown-up sets up. The grown-up is responsible for the account and for the accuracy of what they enter.

3. The free demo and the free week

A child can play a short free go before anyone signs in, so you can see what Numbersaurus does.

When a grown-up first signs in, your family's next 7 days are free. We do not take a card to start the free week, so nothing can charge you automatically and there is nothing to cancel. When the seven days are up, a child can still play four rounds each visit for free. Full-length sittings need a subscription or an access code. Everything the children did is kept either way, and signing in again does not start a second free week.

4. Subscriptions, price and payment

  • The subscription is £5 a month or £50 a year (two months free), covering the children in your family account.
  • A subscription starts only when you choose a plan and pay for it. The free week never turns into one by itself — we hold no card during it, so there is no way for a first payment to happen without you making it.
  • Purchases are made through Paddle, our merchant of record. Your purchase contract for the payment is with Paddle; Paddle handles VAT and sales tax and is the name that appears on your card statement. Paddle's checkout buyer terms apply to the purchase alongside these terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. See the Refunds & Cancellation Policy for how to cancel and the 14-day refund right.
  • We may change prices for future renewal periods. If we do, we will tell you in advance by email so you can cancel first if you wish.

5. The Practice Promise

We only charge while a family is practising. While this promise is published on our pricing page it applies to every Numbersaurus subscription, and we honour it as set out here.

  • No further payment after 14 days without practice. If no child on your family account makes a practice attempt for 14 days in a row, we take no further payment from you. We do that by pausing the subscription. We pause it before the fourteenth day, so no payment can fall due inside those 14 days. We email you before we pause it.
  • Annual subscriptions. The same rule covers renewals. If no child has made a practice attempt for 14 days in a row when an annual renewal falls due, it does not renew, and nothing is taken for another year. The promise stops future payments. It is not a refund: a year you have already paid for runs to its end whether or not anybody plays.
  • Coming back. When a child on your account plays again, the subscription resumes from that day and a new billing period starts. We email you to say it has resumed. You do not have to subscribe again, and the price does not change.
  • If a resumed payment fails. We email you to say so, play carries on for about two days while you sort it out, and after that access waits for the payment in the ordinary way. Nothing else about your account changes.
  • A pause under this promise is not a cancellation: your family's players, progress and history are kept, and nothing is charged while the subscription is paused.
  • We may change or withdraw the promise for future subscription periods. If we do, we will change the pricing page and tell subscribers by email first; any pause already due to you under it still stands.

6. Access codes

We issue a limited number of access codes that grant free access without a subscription. Codes are single-use and non-transferable once redeemed. Free access granted by a code lasts until we revoke it; we may revoke a code if it is abused (for example, shared or resold). Codes have no cash value and nothing is owed if one is revoked.

7. Your account

There are no passwords. You either sign in by email — we send a sign-in link to the grown-up's address — or with Google, using the email address on your Google account. Either way the account is identified by that email address, so keeping the mailbox (or the Google account) secure keeps the account secure. Tell us at hello@numbersaurus.com if you think someone else has used your account.

8. Acceptable use

Numbersaurus is for personal, non-commercial use by your family. Please do not resell access, share your account outside your household, attempt to disrupt the service or other families' data, or use it in a way that breaks the law.

9. Our content

The Numbersaurus software, activities, artwork and name belong to GOTOES LIMITED or its licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal right to use the service; it does not transfer any ownership.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Numbersaurus available and improving, and we may change or add features over time. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. If we ever decide to withdraw the service, we will give paying subscribers reasonable notice and refund any period paid for but not provided.

11. Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage we cause. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses — Numbersaurus is a consumer service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Numbersaurus and cancel at any time (see the Refunds & Cancellation Policy). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; if we do, we will refund any remaining paid period unless the breach was deliberate abuse.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. For material changes we will tell subscribers by email before they take effect. The date below shows when they last changed.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may also use your local courts and rely on your local consumer law.
